Maggie began teaching as a student in her undergraduate years and has been teaching ever since. She is currently faculty at the Aurora School of Music and is also growing her private studio in Shaker Heights. She has also taught at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Beck Center for the Arts, Musicologie Cleveland Heights, Chevy Chase Music, and more. Maggie is currently co-chair of student activities for the Northeast Ohio Music Teachers Association. As part of this role, she is responsible for coordinating student recitals and engagement opportunities in the Cleveland area.
Maggie is deeply invested in piano pedagogy as an area of study; as a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at the Cleveland Institute of Music, she is researching efficient learning processes in music and best practices for piano teachers to develop artistic, fluent, and independent students.
Alongside violin pedagogue Cameron Schuler, Maggie has also recently co-founded The Studio Circle, a gathering place for music teachers in Northeast Ohio. This group is comprised of music teachers across instruments and experience levels. The aim of The Studio Circle is to provide a platform for conversations about best practices for music teaching and to give teachers a helpful and enthusiastic community to bolster their love of teaching and further their craft. Please contact Maggie directly if you are interested in joining The Studio Circle.
Maggie currently teaches at Aurora School of Music and privately in the Shaker Heights/Cleveland Heights area. If you are interested in private lessons for yourself or your child, please contact Maggie directly for further information and availability.
